DISTANCE LEARNING
ONLINE ETIQUETTE
Online Etiquette - Primary Division
Depending on individual classroom or student needs, teachers may schedule video calls with students/parents. Here are some things to keep in mind for student/teacher conferencing:
-
Lower school students should have an adult present (preferably a parent) in any individual video conferences
-
Students should be seated at a table in a common space (not on beds)
-
Clothing appropriate for school should be worn (no pajamas)
-
School appropriate language and conduct is expected
-
Be mindful of noise. Wear headphones/earbuds if possible. Explain the use of the mute button to make Teams or Zoom (if used) effective.
-
Raise your hand, etc.
-
Students should inform other family members at home that they are on a video call
