Somersfield Academy is excited to announce two scholarship opportunities for students entering between M4 (MYP) to DP1 (Diploma Program) levels for academic year 2023/24 and 2024/25. Following through with our strategic vision, our Equity and Merit Scholarships aim to empower students in the Bermuda community to become global leaders. These scholarships are for academically excellent students who have the potential to contribute to global issues, locally. The scholarships will provide financial assistance to eligible and motivated students who embody the values of the school.

Scholarship Details

The awards are intended for those who cannot afford this educational journey without a scholarship. We are committed to a policy of equal opportunity and all applications are considered on their merit.

The Equity and Merit Scholarship at Somersfield Academy is designed to recognize and support exceptional students with a strong passion for learning. This scholarship is open to talented individuals who demonstrate exemplary academic skills, outstanding character, and a desire to make a positive impact on the world.

Application Criteria

How to Apply

A student-authored essay showcasing a passion for learning and a positive attitude toward personal growth, plus an active involvement in community services or extracurricular activities (e.g., sports, arts, leadership roles, etc.).

Submit the essay to admissions@somersfield.bm to be considered for the scholarship by the deadline.

Successful applicants will be required to submit an online application and bursary.

Selection Process

A dedicated and diverse committee of educators and administrators will carefully review all applications. Shortlisted candidates may be invited for an interview as part of the selection process.

Deadline for applications 2024 – 2025 is Friday 9th February 2024.
