Somersfield Giving Day
Somersfield Giving Day is a 24-hour fundraising event that brings together our community—parents, alumni, staff, and friends—to support the Somersfield Annual Fund. This vital initiative helps bridge the gap between tuition and the full cost of providing an exceptional educational experience. Tuition only covers the essential operational costs of running Somersfield Academy, such as salaries, facility maintenance, and day-to-day operations. Advancement and growth, however, come from philanthropy. At Somersfield, as with most independent schools, tuition typically covers about 80% of the total costs. To fill the remaining 20%—and to advance our academic, athletic, and arts programs—we rely on generous donations from our community of parents, alumni, and friends. These contributions allow us to offer more robust programs, state-of-the-art facilities, and unique learning experiences that set our school apart.
