As in most independent schools, tuition alone does not cover all costs associated with running the school. Donations to the Fund close this gap and make it possible to achieve greatness. The Somersfield Fund also helps to make initiatives sustainable year to year. It provides critical, unrestricted support to our operating budget, impacting students each and every day. Annual giving dollars allow our school to be nimble and responsive to changing needs and demands. By contributing to the Fund you will help us continue to improve our campus and programs, enabling us to attract and retain exceptional students and staff.

The Somersfield Fund is the cornerstone of all fundraising at Somersfield Academy, and provides annual, unrestricted dollars for the School’s operating budget and allows Somersfield to address unforeseen needs that may arise. Gifts to the Somersfield Fund sustain and enrich every aspect of the student experience, and can be designated to eight different priority areas: Arts; Athletics; Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Initiatives; Staff Professional Development; Scholarships; or where needed most.
Somersfield Giving Day Campaign Success!
On September 29, we opened up our annual drive with our inaugural Somersfield Giving Day! This year, we recognised and celebrated the incredible support we've received from past donors; people who have given their time, goods, and money to ensure that our current students enjoy the high-quality education we offer today. We met our goal of raising $150,000 from our community! Thank you to everyone who gave their time and money to make it a success!
Annual Donation Drive Main Goals
Performing Arts Programme
We aim to expand our performing arts resources further. With your help, we plan to purchase script rights, costumes, and sets for the next 4 years. We will continue to invest in new instruments and equipment, and provide scholarships for talented students to pursue their passion for the arts.
Athletics Programme
Our athletes have shown exceptional dedication and skill. We aim to improve our sports facilities, including the outdoor sports field, the netball/basketball courts, as well as providing coaching clinics and scholarships for budding athletes.
Branded Transportation
We recognize the importance of safe and efficient transportation for our students. We plan to invest in branded transportation options to ensure students' comfort, convenience, and safety as they travel to and from school and various activities.
Co-curricular Activities Programme
Co-curricular activities enhance our students' holistic development. We want to expand our offerings by introducing new clubs and activities, providing resources for existing ones, and organizing off-campus learning experiences to enrich our students' education.
Teacher Professional Development
Our educators play a crucial role in shaping our students' futures. We are committed to providing ongoing professional development opportunities for our teachers, including workshops, certifications, and resources to enhance their teaching skills and expertise for the next four years.
Equitability Fund
We believe in creating an equitable environment where every student has the opportunity to excel. Your support will help us bridge the achievement gap by providing scholarships, resources, and entry support programs for students who need them the most.
